700 people enjoy Easter Dinner

More than 700 people enjoyed a hot Easter dinner Friday afternoon. Something they normally would have gone without.

Line ups formed around the Hope Mission earlier in the afternoon. Inner city residents were treated to a full meal consisting of turkey, dressing and dessert. It's something those enjoying the meal are very grateful for.

"If I had the chance to say [thank you] to all of them," said Todd Kaskamin. "I would shake their hand and say thank you very much brothers."
More than 50 volunteers, including some children, took turns serving the meal. For volunteers, it was nice to give back to the community.

"Me giving my time," said Colin Egeto, who was volunteering. "For just a couple of hours a day to make hundreds of people happy is just awesome."
For Shirley Voyechko, a hot meal is very much appreciated.

"I'm grateful for all of them here," said Voyechko. "And the food they give us."

The shelter offered two dinner sittings.
